8 weeks full pay, then from week 9 to 16 is 50% pay, from week 17 to 39 Statutory Maternity Pay and from week 40 to 52 no pay

How long do you have to work at the company to qualify?

You need to have worked continuously for 41 weeks before the expected week of childbirth are eligible for maternity pay. This is at least 26 weeks before the ‘qualifying week’ (the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth).

If you decide to cease employment whilst on leave what is the clawback policy?

If the employee decides during maternity leave that she does not wish to return to work, she should give written notice of resignation. If the employee resigns during maternity leave or within three months of returning to work, they are required to repay contractual maternity pay uplift, but not the statutory pay element.
