Policy Details
Additional maternity pay will be paid for the first six weeks of your maternity leave period to make the statutory pay up to your normal rate of full pay for that period. You shall then receive half pay plus the lower rate of SMP for the following 20 weeks. The remaining 13 weeks will revert to SMP at the lower
rate.
How long do you have to work at the company to qualify?
You are entitled to take advantage of the enhanced terms for maternity pay and leave under the Concern (UK) scheme where you have been employed by Concern (UK) for at least one year at the expected week of childbirth (EWC) and remain employed until immediately before the 15th week before the EWC.
If you decide to cease employment whilst on leave what is the clawback policy?
To qualify for Concern (UK) maternity pay a letter is required from you stating your intention to return to work for a period of at least three months following the period of maternity leave. If you do not return for the three-month period the amount paid to you over and above the statutory payment will be immediately repayable and Concern (UK) reserves the right to withhold the amount from your pay.
