Enhanced Maternity Pay (after 1 years’ service)
Employees who qualify for EMP are entitled to the following total maternity pay:
• For the first 6 weeks, at the rate of 100% of normal weekly earnings (including SMP of 90%)
and
• Additional 4 weeks, at the rate of 100% of normal weekly earnings (including standard rate
of SMP)
• For the remaining 29 weeks, either 90% of normal weekly earnings or the standard rate of
SMP, whichever of these is lower. SMP is paid at a rate set by the Government for the
relevant tax year.

Long Service Enhanced Maternity Pay (after 3 years’
service)
Employees who qualify for LSEMP are entitled to the following total maternity pay:
• For the first 6 weeks, at the rate of 100 percent of normal weekly earnings (Including SMP of
90%); and
• Additional 10 weeks, at the rate of 100% of normal weekly earnings (including standard rate
of SMP); and
• For the remaining 23 weeks, either 90% of normal weekly earnings or the standard rate of
SMP, whichever of these is lower. SMP is paid at a rate set by the Government for the
relevant tax year.

How long do you have to work at the company to qualify?

If you decide to cease employment whilst on leave what is the clawback policy?

You are expected to return to work after your maternity leave has ended for a minimum period of 6 months. Where an employee fails to return to work for this minimum period because the employment is terminated by either party for any reason other than redundancy, the Company is entitled to recover 50% of
the enhanced maternity pay paid to employees that is more than SMP.
